Bucket List

If you can dream it, you can do it… Walt Disney said so… and I believe so.. Yipee!  Happiness abounds!

This page is a work in progress and from time to time, there will be some practical changes.  I’ll continue adding to the list for as long as there are still things I wanted to do.  I’ll also post links to make them even more interesting.  For dreams that have already been fulfilled, I’ll still put them here just so I’ll remember when memory gap takes over, that dreams really do come true….

SO PERSONAL..

1. Write down my personal mission statement, follow it, and revise it from time to time as necessary
2. Get married and have some kids… LOL )
3. Join an acting workshop… )
4. Join a spiritual group and be active for the rest of my life…. LOJ community
5. Be able to serve my GOD with all my heart, my might, and my soul.
6. Join friends in mountain climbing…. Gulugod Baboy Peak,
7. More mountains to climb .. Mt Sinai and more mountains in Israel and Jordan
8. Be seen on TV…. a noontime show of a long time ago, was it Student Canteen?
9. Have my own home .. 2 units in fact
10. Host a huge party at home…..  my golden birthday
11. Learn to swim and play with the butandings.  Sayang, I’ve been to Donsol, Whaleshark Interactive Experience but it seems that the Butandings were not inclined to appear .. better luck next time
12. Learn to speak a foreign language and make sure I use it
13. Kiss in the rain
14. Play in the snow on a mountain
15. Fall deeply in love — helplessly and unconditionally, but he does not know or realize how lucky he is.. )
16. Shower in a waterfall - a man-made waterfall in Villa Escudero, Hidden Valley, Tiango Falls in Iligan
    
17. Learn to play a musical instrument with some degree of skill
18. Rehabilitate my disintegrating house …. just partly
19. Write my last will - needs revision though as if i’m dying tomorrow
20. Sleep under the stars… when our roof was flewn away by the gusty winds of a typhoon which hit our province; and once again during our night stop at Anawangin Cove
21. Overcome my fear of  failure. Reflect on my greatest weakness, and realize how it is my greatest strength.  Palagay ko, malapit na ..
22. Sing karaoke with all my heart and soul.. Joined a singing contest, though I know I’ll need a lot of courage to do this. Though I’ve lost on the trials, I believe I still emerge the winner for it’s not about winning or losing… it’s about you doing your best.
23. Read the entire Bible -but I have to re-read and internalize more.  After our Holy Land Pilgrimage though, I have learned to read the Greatest Book ever from another perspective, so enlightened.. Thanks you God.
24. Live the lifestyle of the rich and the famous even for just a day – 2 weekends in Boracay, checked-in at the Astoria, then another weekend this time at the Boracay Beach Club. Trip to Jordan which was in our itinerary for Holyland, checked-in at Movenpick Hotel in Aqaba and swam in the red sea and the hotel’s spa and pools.
25. See my picture in a newspaper or magazine of wide circulation
26. Host a family reunion…. my family’s trip to naval)   Planning another… hmmm
27. See my High School/ College friends again.. just a few of them in a mini-reunion again and again
28. Project Happiness.. on going everyday of my life
29. Start a business

ADVOCACY

1. Volunteer to an organization engaged in technical matters.. PhilMSTQ  ongoing
2. Volunteer to an NGO engaged in environmental endeavors… CEAE, Add Up, Mother Earth Foundation, ongoing
3. Volunteer to an NGO engaged in humanitarian efforts… Hands–on Manila, Relief operations for Ondoy Victims, Giving Back Projects (own initiative)  ongoing
   
4. Join a Toastmasters Club ….. NPC Toastmster’s Club
5. Campaign for a friend running for public office
6. Plant a tree – planted one when I was a kid

12. Trip to the Holy Land.. This is the journey of all journeys.. I’m so happy it happened at last.

21. Visit at least one if not all of the Natural Wonders of the World - Pyramids and Sphinx in Egypt and Petra, al-Khazna Treasury in Jordan, Puerto Princesa 
22. Go on a safari in Africa
23. Travel Mindanao. Cagayan de Oro, Camiguin, Iligan, Bukidnon, General Santos, Davao, Cotabato, Zamboanga
    
24. Go white water rafting in Cagayan de Oro
25. Travel to Japan or Korea.. Seoul

27. Go to India and worship in Taj Majal
28. Travel outside the country with the one that I love.

CAREER

1. Earn another degree
2. Be a certified professional environmental auditor.. Technical Assessor, Chemical Testing, Environmental analysis @PAO.  It’s not really  as an environmental auditor but akin to it.
3. Engage in a stress-free job after retirement….. Regulatory Associate at Sanofi-aventis, free lancing as a technical expert on chemical  testing
4. Strengthen my capability as an environmental auditor.. seminars, workshops, trainings.. a continuous phase
5. Be successfully self-employed… perhaps as a counselor/ consultant
6. Back to work and enjoy it
