The Impeachment: Truth or Consequence?

The truth stands by the door
Waiting to be recognized
The truth weeps
Hoping not to be impeached

The truth asks
If you do not let me in
What consequence do we hope for?
Are we ready to face this consequence?

I tried to enter your minds
But your mind was full of legal obstacles
I tried to enter your hearts
But your hearts were so full of your own lies

May I knock on your door once more?
The truth asks
And if I may be allowed to speak
Will you be willing to listen to me?
